Here at New Hope we are all about seeing God transform lives. Part of His transformation tool is utilizing our spiritual gifts. As we help others towards transformation we ourselves are transformed! Proverbs 11:25 states this truth, “They who refresh others will they themselves be refreshed.” What is exciting about volunteering is God has already established our good deeds. In Ephesians 2:10 Paul says, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” So, we can’t lose when we volunteer because God is in it!

George Bernard Shaw stated, “This is the true joy of life; the being used up for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clot of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.” Jesus himself said he came not to be served but to serve. God has given each of us spiritual gifts to be used within His church, and at New Hope we have many different areas of need.
